How to See Saved WiFi Passwords from ES Explorer

As we have to open a system file on Android, we cannot use the file explorer that comes in-built on the device. So We can  use ES File Explorer for the task.


There are a certain number of apps listed in the Play Store for the task but it’s better to use this manual method to get the passwords. Hence you don’t need to install a separate apps for this purpose.


Step by Step Guidance to see the saved WiFi passwords.


STEP 1:  Install the ES File Explorer from the Play store, in-case if you have it then directly go to step 2.


Step 2:- Open ES Explorer after installation.



Step 3:- Go to the  root (/) folder.


Step 4:- Now from the root(/), go to data i,e (/data).

Step 5:- Now go the misc folder inside data section i,e (/data/misc).

step 6:- Go to wifi section inside misc folder i,e (/data/misc/wifi).

Step 6:- Now open the wpa_supplicant.conf to get your saved wifi passwords. Tap on the file to open it up and make sure you use ES File Explorer ‘s built-in text/HTML viewer for the task.
